Then the liquid is poured into a mold, which is then sealed and heated until it cures into the form of the mattress. In the Talalay latex mattress method, the mold contains countless tiny pinprick spikes that will make lots of extra little channels for air to pass through. This method creates a latex mattress that is a lot more resilient and buoyant than most other types.

Given that natural latex does work just as well with either manufacturing process, you might be thinking of why a latex mattress would ever be made with petrochemical products. The main obstacle with natural latex is that the mattresses can turn out to be a lot less comfortable than the synthetic types. Or frequently, a manufacturer may use mostly natural latex and blend in some of the petrochemical material, with just enough to add the extra give and softness that people are searching for.
